Description

The Future Circular Collider in its electron-positron phase (FCC-ee) is a next-generation high-luminosity collider designed to explore the electroweak scale and beyond with unprecedented precision. Operating at multiple centre-of-mass energies, from the Z pole up to the top-quark threshold, the FCC-ee will provide an extensive physics program ranging from precision Higgs and electroweak measurements to indirect searches for new physics.

This talk will present the key physics opportunities offered by the FCC-ee and discuss how they translate into stringent requirements for detector performance, including vertexing, tracking, calorimetry, and particle identification. Finally, the currently proposed detector concepts and their technological challenges will be introduced, highlighting ongoing R&D efforts aimed at meeting the ambitious goals of the FCC-ee physics program.
