• Managing first impressions - projecting an upbeat and ‘can do’ attitude (Self-knowledge, Organisational & Occupational Knowledge)
• Different types of interviews, including competency or criteria based
• Difficult interview questions and how to answer them
• Additional selection techniques – Assessment Centres, Psychometrics, aptitude tests etc.
The presenter – Clare Tweedy:
Clare has 15 years plus experience of HR consultancy and has worked extensively across both public and private sectors. She has a Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching through the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) and is Myers Briggs accredited. With several years’ experience coaching graduates from Durham University she has a depth of knowledge from successfully guiding higher level graduates into their early stage careers. In the private sector,
Clare has worked with senior level individuals from numerous disciplines across a diverse range of sectors including Chemicals, Financial, Service and IT sectors. Within the public sector she has worked with Durham and Sunderland Universities, Newcastle and Gateshead PCTs and various government and ex-government organisations such as the Audit Commission, DEFRA and OPRA.
