Research scientists are known for their poor software development practices, be it due to lack of formal training or differing objectives. This session will focus on addressing some of these issues by looking at examples of good and bad practice. We will look at the types of computing skills that help increase productivity during one's research career in academia but are also appealing to employers in industry
