The school will focus on CV writing, interview skills and grant applications

A dedicated careers workshop will round up the event covering career prospects in academia, industry and research centres. This workshop is expected to help in long term career planning.

Mohammed Belal is currently an Enterprise Fellow at STFC. Previously he was a Business Development Director and Co-Founder of Spin-Out Company MIRICO, a company that has developed a transformational technology for gas sensing.

He will share his experience on what is required to take an idea to market and setup a spin-out company on the basis of
setting up the company MIRICO.

LinkedIn Masterclass is a key subject for technical PhDs taking their careers forward. Such is their specialisms that the employers and recruiters will be using LinkedIn to search them out. In a world dominated by Social Media the ability to master LinkedIn will become ever more important.
