Description

I will introduce to the physics of neutrino oscillations, highlighting the potential for understanding the matter-antimatter imbalance in the Universe. I will describe the experimental approach followed by the long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments and the challenges related to the search for leptonic Charge Parity Violation at the T2K and Hyper-K experiments in Japan. I will describe the role of near detectors, focusing on the upgrade of the magnetised Near Detector (ND280), including its current, and possibly future, hardware and analysis developments.
