There is a tool to install Eduroam on an Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, OS X or ChromeOS device available here:
You must download the one from your home institution as that has been customised for you.
A few tips:
- Your username is username@myuni.ac.uk so the connection knows who to ask to validate you
- You will have to provide your password so your home institute can validate your connection
- Try your phone connection first, the access can be less restrictive
- Turn off randomize the MAC address for your Eduroam connection
- You will still have a slightly restricted access due to security concerns
- Use webmail if your email client is being problematic
- Use a VPN to access resources at your host institution
- If you have used the CAT (configuration access tool) from eduroam.org use the Eudroam® connection if offered, you may see more than one listed.
- While we can try and help resolve problems ultimately your host institution needs to validate you so consult their help guides for Eduroam.
